Reshaping our understanding on structure formation with the quantum nature of the dark matter

We study the non-linear structure formation in cosmology accounting for quantum nature of dark matter (DM) particles initial conditions at decoupling, as well relaxation and stability DM halos. Differently from cosmological N-body simulations, we use a thermodynamic approach collisionless systems self-gravitating fermions General Relativity, which halos reach steady state by maximizing coarse-grained entropy. show ability this to provide answers crucial open problems cosmology, among others: mass particle, supermassive black holes early Universe, intermediate small halos, core-cusp problem.
